All 9 avalanche victims recovered from California's Sierra Nevada, sheriff says

All 9 avalanche victims person been recovered from California's Sierra Nevada, Nevada County Sheriff Shannan Moon said Saturday astatine a quality conference.

The bodies were recovered aft a Black Hawk chopper connected Saturday flew to the snowy, mountainous portion wherever a fatal avalanche struck this week. Eight of the victims were recovered connected Tuesday, and the remaining unfortunate was discovered and recovered connected Saturday.

Brutal upwind and the menace of much avalanches had kept crews from safely recovering the bodies from the avalanche, which was astir the size of a shot field.
