An Air Canada formation retired of Newark, New Jersey, was forced to divert and onshore astatine Boston's Logan Airport aft the aviator became "incapacitated," Massachusetts State Police said.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that Air Canada Flight 7664 was the level involved.
According to FlightAware, the level departed Newark Liberty International Airport astatine 12:39 p.m. connected Wednesday and was bound for Halifax, Nova Scotia.
State constabulary said Logan Airport officials received an alert conscionable earlier 1:40 p.m. that the level would beryllium diverting to Boston.
"A unit subordinate was reported to having a aesculapian exigency and craft was being flown by the co-pilot," Massachusetts State Police said successful a statement.
The level landed astir 2 p.m.
Ambulances drove onto the runway and a stretcher was brought to the cockpit. The aviator could beryllium seen being brought from the airplane to a adjacent ambulance wrong minutes of the formation touching down.
